Experience
Francisco Piedras Camacho is a Founding Partner of Equipo Economico and responsible for the economic and financial area. Among his current duties the management of investment projects and corporate restructuring by means of designing and implementing measures that contribute to facilitate the success of the transactions, are notable. In the field of consultancy, he is also specialized in drawing up technical reports on economics and tax, and expert reports to be ratified and defended in court.
Previously, he worked in the Tax Administration and served as Chief of Technical Staff in the Tax Ministry. During those years he undertook a major reform of the public finance and policy framework. In this period he was an advisor to leading state-owned companies such as SEPI, CESCE and Paradores. During his days at the Spanish Internal Revenue Agency (AEAT) Francisco specialized in international tax affairs. Furthermore, whilst senior manager of the AEAT tax collection unit, he acquired broad experience in managing bankruptcy proceedings.

Francisco has also been a consultant to the Inter-American Development Bank (IBD), and takes an active part in various fora and seminars (FIDE, UIMP, etc.) on matters comprising his specialty. He has also taught extensively at postgraduate level at various universities and private business schools.
In the private business field, he has been Director and President of the infrastructure concessionaire company Itinere, and is currently President of the Economic Commission of CEIM.
Francisco has been a Tax Inspector since 1991 and a Customs and Excise Tax Inspector since 2002, although he is currently on voluntary leave of absence. A graduate in Law and in Business Administration and Finance from CUNEF, Francisco completed his training with a Masters in Management and Public Policy at the School of Industrial Organization and the Institute of Fiscal Studies and completed other management courses at IE Business School and the University College of Financial Studies (CUNEF).
